About

I am a freelance science and medical writer based in New York City. I create a variety of scientific and medical communications for both professional and lay audiences. While my scientific training is in biochemistry—my PhD thesis focused on how motions in proteins affect their function—I have spent over twelve years working in medical communications and science journalism, creating materials to educate on disease states and clinical data.

My current work is spread across several clients related to pharma and the biological sciences—medical communication agencies, nonprofit organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and public relations firms. Each of these projects has its unique aspects, but some commonalities between them include:

  • Keeping up with treatment and disease landscapes,

  • Identifying and interviewing thought leaders,

  • Interacting with multiple stakeholders to ensure deliverables align with the strategy, are delivered on time, and include feedback from everyone involved.

I take on a range of projects, including:

  • Congress coverage

  • Meeting summaries

  • Slide deck development

  • Manuscripts

  • Advisory boards

  • Blog articles

  • Landscape and competitor analyses

With my strong background in basic science, I can delve into and understand the nuances of the data. My experience in the promotional world enables me to take that detailed data and translate it into the language and format suitable for your audience.
